BERNARDO SILVA IMPRESSES AS PORTUGAL BEAT RUSSIA
Bernardo Silva, who will officially join Manchester City from Monaco on July 1st, played the full 90 minutes as Portugal defeated Russia in the Confederations Cup this afternoon.

The midfielder impressed with his work rate and quality on the ball and was involved in the build up to the only goal of the game, scored by Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Portugal were dominant in the first half, with Silva instrumental in their best moments going forward, but Russia improved after the break and they will be disappointed not to have taken a point.

Portugal now have four points from their opening two matches in Group A and are in pole position to qualify for the semi-finals.
